The problem
Right after learning React, I wanted a project that would actually put it to work — something with real data and real search, not another to-do list.
The approach
I built Scene Hunt as a movie discovery app, so you can browse what's popular, search for anything, and look up details like cast and ratings. Favorites are saved automatically, so your list is still there next time you open the app, and small touches like loading animations and pop-up confirmations make sure it never feels stuck or unresponsive.
The outcome
A fully working app that let me practice everything a real project needs — pulling in outside data, handling the moments while things load, and making sure nothing breaks. It's live and usable start to finish, from searching for a movie to saving it as a favorite.
